Guys, I am interested in an AI .308 bolt gun. I have shot a few, but I seem to run into a debate on if it is a real AI or an American built one. From my short research, they only imported a few that were built in England, is this correct? Any knowledge to share? Thanks, Jason

Re: A Real AI?

Real AI's are available all over, there are US dealers that have them, getting one takes nothing more than the cash, and in some cases a wait for them to show up. But in this economy if you can't find a "real" AI you're not looking in the right places.

Reps are all over this site, just order one.

Re: A Real AI?

Like LL said, they are widely available in various calibers of your choice. The "real" AIs are the ones that say "Accuracy International" on the side of the action. The only thing requires to have an AI rifle is many "Ben Franklins". You can check the for sale section.

Re: A Real AI?

I believe what the man is referring to was the UK or US assembled rifles. The simple answer is, an AI is an AI. We have assemble rifles here in the US many years ago from the parts which were UK produced and shipped to AINA Oak Ridge, TN. However, those rifles are just as much an "real AI" as any others. Any questions you may have feel free to contact me and I will be glad to answer them.
