Enjoyed this very much. Put's some things into perspective, especially when we think we had it/have it tough. My father, MSGT L. J. Baker, was one of General Frank Merrill's original 3000 Maruaders (Merrills Marauders). I grew up sifting through all his relics and photos and taking his extra wooden leg to school for show and tell. After the Burma campaign he finally caught one behind his left knee in Korea and got sent home. Those images and these should not be forgotten.
