I have been carrying a 3" 686+ for a little while. The 42 ounce gun was a bear to carry, and after an 8 mile hike, I was just about ready to punt it into a river.
By chance I was reading a post about the value of a good gunblet and how it can completely change how the gun carries. One guy that was coming up often was http://agcustomgunleather.com/ (NOTE!This is coming up as an attack site for me right now)
I ordered one of their quick ship belts. Ordered on Monday, came on Friday. Quality was TOP notch. Super thick, took a few days to fit comfortably, but now it is fine.
The change in how the gun carried was night and day! Instead of a Dickies walmart belt that seemed to place all the weight of the gun at the holster, this belt stays stiff and spreads the weight across my entire waist, making the gun MUCH more pleasant to carry. Craftsmen ship is perfect, no bad threads or imperfections anywhere to be found.
Expensive at near $90, but I am very happy with the whole experience. I wish I had bought one sooner.
