Anyone here running an AAC 51T muzzle brake on their Remington 5R? The blackout flash hider does not fit over the outside diameter of the barrel, and therefore requires the barrel to be contoured for installation. Looking at the muzzle brake though, it appears that it fits right up against the barrel shoulder/shims and would not require any modification to the barrel. Is this correct or does the brake require the same work to barrel?

Thanks

I run two of them on 5R's. I prefer the double chamber brake , but single chamber works well. No mod needed.
Buy break, enjoy greatly reduced recoil. They need to be timed of course with provided shims.

I run with and without cans.

Oh, good idea :)

I have no idea why black out DOESNT work, but you should get brake anyway. It GREATLY reduces recoil. 50% ish. IMHO
