Gun will be shot suppressed and I doubt I'll get it out more than 500 yards are there any disadvantages to the shorter barrel?

I just bought a 16 version. Intended use is hunting with a max range of 500 and eventually adding a can. You'll lose some velocity by going with the 16 but adding a can you'll get a little back. Id go with the 16 for more compactness with a can. I did a prelimenary range card with my shooter app using Barnes 150 TTSX load and a 200 yard zero and I only need 1.5 mils to get to 500.
16 all the way. Just finished up a new build with a 16" barrel and I love the ease of hunting with it.
