I'm looking at getting the AAC 7.62 SD but, not sure which attachment to get for the mounting muzzle break or the flash hider. What are the pros and cons of each? I also plan to use the same can on my AR-15 and need an attchment for it too.
Re: AAC silencer attachment flash hider or muzzle brak
Id vote get the muzzle brake. The other mounts make a ping sound when firing that some find annoying. Other than that the brake well is a brake when your not using the can.
Re: AAC silencer attachment flash hider or muzzle brak
If I was running a 10" or short barrel I would definitely use the brake mount. It will take the brunt of powder erosion instead of your first baffle in your can. If its a normal length barrel I would use the blackout mount.
I have / use the blackout on my rifle (Sig 556) and yes, it make a nice "ping" every shot without the can attached.

My case has been different. I went from blackout mounts to the brake and my accuracy improved. With my semi auto's and bolt guns both producing tighter groups.

+1 for the Blackout mount.
My Sig 556 and the M4-2000 has zero impact shift @ 100 yards running the blackout mount.

I went ahead and bought the Blackout Flash Hiders for both weapons
