I’m a nightforce guy but I can’t seem to locate a used one in the 1-8 range. How tough are the accupowers? What problems do people have with them? What do they go for used in great condition?

I have one with the bdc reticle. Bottom line, imho, a great scope. Glass is excellent and eyebox is very forgiving. Love the 28 mm tube diameter. Criticisms I have read are that it is heavy (it is) and that the reticle at 8X is too thick for precision shooting (maybe). The reticle (FFP) lends itself well for use as a rds at 1X with the circle dot reticle. Of all the scopes that I own, this is my favorite, albeit for the weight penalty. As far as toughness, it is a Trijicon, and seems very well built and quite rugged. To improve upon what I have would require an investment substantially in excess of the cost of this scope. Mine is not going anywhere.

I had one. I truly despised it. The reticle absolutely sucked in my opinion. I didn't really find it convenient for game gunning. For precision work the cross is far too thick. It is a heavy scope and really does not offer any advantages over the Razor HD gen2 1-6 in my opinion.

I’ve spent some time behind one on a SCAR-17. Reticle is thick but we were hitting a 12” steel plate at 790 yards with little to no trouble. Seems to track fine and the eyebox was fine for prone work. Sample of one but I’d own one. This one was $800 used when he picked it up in like new condition. We put it in a LaRue QD mount. Seems to work well enough.

I've run one for a while and its my favourite LPVO (I have 5).

The reticle does get thick (one of the disadvantages of FFP) but the centre dot is still small enough for good precision.

I use this in Service Rifle & 3 Gun and it's served me well.

It is heavy though and the magnification adjustment could be easier but I still like it.

I Have one,

Cons
Its a little heavy compared to its peers,
Its rectical is a little thick.
Pros
Nice eye box, easy to get behind.
glass, while subjective is fine for its intended use.
Is about half to one third the cost of something that i would consider a clear improvement over the accupower.

I would not consider it to be the best LPVO on the market, but for its price, its a solid scope,
