I bought an Accuracy 1st (bead) level years ago and put it on a rifle that I just recently started shooting again. I have heard various opinions of these things and am curious as to whether folks like them or prefer bubble style.
Thanks.

I generally like mine, especially the fact that they stick out less than the Spuhr and MKM versions.

The Accuracy 1st level seems more immediately reactive than the bubble levels (less delay), and also seems a bit more sensitive to angle changes too. Be aware that there will probably be a small air bubble in the vial as well as the ceramic ball. I was irritated until I saw that their website pics showed that too. Doesn’t affect anything.

I do find that it is very helpful to add a dot of bright nail polish to the top and one to the bottom of the center position, bracketing the ceramic bead. My older Accuracy 1st unit had spots engraved to where paint should go, but my new one does not. 🤷‍♂️

Regardless, I added two dots of nail polish and called it good.

Not my pics, but where I got the idea:

His tips on how to get a brighter color to appear:

Of the regular bubble levels I really like the Spuhr, but it’s for their mounts only and can be a bit of a pain in the ass to level (it’s adjustable, which I like). It also sticks out a bit, but it’s preeminently visible and very sensitive (for a bubble level). The MKM is also quite sensitive.

P.S. I put the levels as far forward as I can due to old man eyes.

They've been around for a while but they sure look high-tech.
You talking about the Accuracy 1st level? I wouldn’t call them high tech. But it seems like a good idea.

One downside of the Accuracy 1st level that I forgot to mention is the clamp is sorta wide vs the MKM. Just something to be aware of. Depending on your scope’s turret bulge length, ring clamp length, and start of the objective bell, you might not be able to get the level where you want.

For me, there’s no way I could handle putting the level on the zoom ring side of the scope (as shown in that pic I shared). I can’t focus that close without glasses.

Edit: just noticed that you own one lol whoops
