Accuracy International AE Threaded Barrel

I found a decent deal on an AE that I'm thinking of buying due to impatience (I'd rather an AW to be honest). The only downside is that the barrel isn't threaded. I've been looking at photos of AIs and it looks like some people have threaded barrels and others have a sort of muzzle device clamped onto the barrel. The rifle I'm looking at buying is a completely smooth barrel, which would be the best option to run a brake and suppressor?

Ah, crap, I didn't realize the clamp-on brakes required a threaded muzzle we well. I guess it's time to find a good gunsmith.
