Does Accuracy International sell Actions? Or anyone else? Have this Chassis but doesn't feel right putting anything else but an AI Action on it. Never built a rifle since I bought my AX in 6.5 so this is new to me. Any thoughts?

Been asking around and it really isn't any cheaper than a new AT. Quality action and barrel with the work added is 3K. Plus the chassis which costs 1K. Defeats the purpose, just buy an AT.

If you already have the AICS you could do a custom build using a Badger M2013 action which is somewhat similar to an AI action.

If you don't already have the AICS, I agree; just buy an AT.

Never seen those actions before. I won the AT Chassis from Mile High and Not sure if I'd get what it's worth if I sell it since they are readily available. And after using my AX for the past couple of years now I can't imagine building something more accurate. Thank you for introducing the Badger to me, it might have been what I was looking for.

You'll have to send the chassis to Badger and have them inlet it for their action, it's pretty cheap to have done. Great action and very similar to the AI actions, I'm have one being built by GAP right now.

If you don't mind me asking what are you having GAP do. Also what is their turnaround?

Badger 2013 action, Bartlein GAP#6 contour 6.5saum, Manners T6-A elite carbon fiber stock. I supplied all materials upfront and they said approx 3 months.

Thank you Wyfox. I contacted Robert Gradous but haven't heard from him, been about 2 weeks now so I'm guessing he just has too much on his plate. Also looks like he's very specific with the choice of materials he is willing to work with so that might be a factor. I'll contact Badger Tuesday then GAP to get a final tally. Hope it works out. Again Thank you for the info and look forward to some pics when your build is done.
