With hunting season over and varmint season close, it was time to remove the 16" 308 barrel and 4-16 ATACR and install the Tangent Theta and 6.5 Creed barrel for some serious groundhog medicine.
I tossed back on my Tangent in an ERA-TAC Adjustable Lever mount and let one of our guys take it out to play with. Notably, the barrel has about 100 rounds thru since new, never cleaned, and both the barrel and scope have been off for 6 months. The group pictured was shot with the first 5rds thru the barrel after this time - so even blowing out the cobwebs it still drilled the CBS in with the rest of them.
I must say, it made me giggle when he showed me how it performed.
More testing to come - planning to do a group test with same lot of ammo (147 ELD) while removing the barrel each shot, scope mount each shot and then both after each shot...should be interesting when I get the time to pull it off!
