does anybody know what barrels ai uses in there stock aw rifles?

I think there used to be 2 manufacturers. I am almost certain that Border in Scotland is one of them,

Older production guns used Cooper Precision barrels. This was many years ago. Border and Lothar Walther are names that you usually see named as their current barrel makers. Someone else can confirm that or correct me.

My replacement barrels are Bartlein by GA Precision.

Early Rifles used Border & Maddco. Never that many Cooper Precision barrels the bulk of what was produced went to England. Some of the rifles shipped from Oak Ridge had Cooper barrels. They made some outstanding 5R barrels.

Yep they did use Maddco. FWIW Maddco can still do AI barrels to order - I got one recently & it spun on & headspaced perfectly.

Rock Creek made a few .338 Lapua barrels in the past.
