I just got my new AI AE MKII. While flipping through the owners manuel I just smile when reading some of the British terms like "Trigger shoe", same thing as trigger right?? At any rate they sure make one fine rifle.

The shoe is simply the metal hook part of the trigger assembly. That seems to be an industry-standard term though and not unique to AI.
