I just got a brand new kestrel 2500 and I'm a bit sus on its readings. I live at sea level and have several government meteorology stations near by also at sea level. I had my kestrel out last night to match up readings from these stations compared to my kestrel. The stations were all reading around 1014hpa my kestrel was reading roughly 1012.1hpa Also the temperature at the stations was around 24Celcius my kestrel showing approx. 26Celcius. Now if I was a betting man I would bet that several government weather stations at same elevations all reading similar is accurate and my kestrel reading different is the odd one out? Has anyone tested there kestrel next to meteorology stations and checked results?

Atmospherics are fluid, and are effected by your environment. If the station you are comparing against is at an airport in an open field, vs taking a reading between two houses in a neighborhood then you will have different readings. You could walk around a decent sized lake, take readings at 6 different places, and you will find varying conditions.

I had to recalibrate the altitude on my 4500 recently. It was reading ~800ft lower on elevation than I was at. Something to be mindful of.
