I want to add a box mag conversion to my Remington 5R 300 WM. I see Accuracy Systems has a drop in kit and I just want to know if anyone in the forum has any thoughts on this product. I am very new to precision shooting any help would be greatly appreciated.Thankyou

I have been reading bottom metal and box mags threads on here for months. Still scratching my head as far a s a "drop in" system goes.
For a long action 700, you can't go wrong with the PTG drop in unit. The one listed as a rem military style fits with no modifications needed, and I think they have a flush style now too.
Be warned though, they are designed around the longer 3.775 mags (readily available from Accurate Mags, or through PTG), not standard aics 3.715 mags. If you want 3.715 mags to fit, get a dbm from Hooper ordnance, they are drop in for long action and take ai mags
