I know he helped write several popular songs for Miami Vice, covered by Russ Ballard. My Favorite is

    "There in the Night...."

    RIP Ace

Damn. I remember how stoked I was when I figured out how to play one of the KISS songs he wrote (Cold Gin) when I was a kid (probably around ‘79). I learned it off the Double Platinum album the old fashioned way - lifting the needle and moving the arm back and setting it back down, over and over until I figured a section out, then on to the next section.

Kiss were corporate plants who sucked

Rest in Peace, Ace. Condolences to his family and friends.

I'm a KISS fan, and a Shannon Tweed fan (Gene Simmons' wife). I had all four of the Playboys with her on the cover- I was a teen for the first two.

They used to play a local bar on Long Island right when they started to make it. He autographed the bathroom wall, it was the bars claim to fame.

    RIP ⭐ce

I did get. one cool thing from him, he would make a star for the "A" I used that when I sign my name, middle initial.

Never liked them as a youngern. I thought Glitter rock was as stupid as disco.

But later came to appreciate that despite their get-ups, KISS did some excellent music! And some iconic songs that are hard to associate with face paint and cow tongues. They were really talented if goofy to look at.

We are losing a lot of greats these days and it’s only going to get worse. Roger Daltery, I read, is on deaths doorstep. Many of the icons are in their late ‘70’s and ‘80 and not buying green bananas.

Between actors, tv personalities, authors and musicians… there were a lot of “hits” in the mass media era. And are going to be a lot of “funerals” in a short time. Kind of like the late 90’s and early 2000’s when we were losing 1000 WW2 vets a week. Because… statistics hit the top of the bell curve…

It’s happening with the boomer rockers at an increasing speed!

Simmons/Stanley's statement on Ace's death. Peter Criss also commented in a very positive way, along with others. Somehow, I have my doubts as to whether Frehley had adverse feelings toward them and their religion. I seriously doubt he'd last that long in the band and have those level of tributes upon his departure, if that were the case.

Was more personality clashes than anything, Gene is first and foremost a businessman.

Ace apparently had substance abuse issues and that caused much drama because Gene & Paul were anti-drugs. Again, rest in peace, Ace. Condolences to his wife, daughter, and family.
