Gunsmithing ACOG for L1A1

Hello all,

I have an Enfield L1A1 rifle that I would love to mount an ACOG on, but the way the topcover on the receiver is built, it's not really feasible to mount one in any relaible fashion. Does anyone know if a modification exists to mount one? I welcome any feedback.

If this does not work for you, just use their standard pic rail cover and mount whatever model you want on that. Rock solid mounts these are.

You're going to have a problem with the ACOG and cheek weld, it was designed specifically for the AR15. Fitting an FAL butt with higher comb might help about 3/8" but it won't be enough. I have a small Leupold on mine in very low mounts and it is OK but not perfect.
