Rifle Scopes ACOG TA31-RCO-M4

Question: The FM suggested that I use electrical tape over the fiber optic if there is too much light coming in. On a very bright sunny day, the chevron does washout and the scope can be a little difficult to use. A friend told me to use layers of Scotch Tape instead. Suggestions anyone? I'm sure someone on here knows "the fix" for this problem. Thanks in advance and sorry if this question is a duplicate.

You have to experiment to see how much you need to cover with elec tape, it just depends on the lighting conditions in your AO, and what works with 'your' eyes.
