This sounds like a newbie question but who the hell cares.I dont have the awnser so im going to ask.which action screw should you torque to specs first front or back?
I have been torqueing the back one first is this right?

Re: action screws?

in theory, if it is properly bedded with zero stress, it shouldnt matter. the preferred pactice is to snug the front screw, hit the butt on the floor or with your hand to seat the recoil lug against the mortise. torque the front to spec and then the rear.
