There are some decent reasons to dislike most folks, but I'm curious who you dislike (actor-wise) for no good reason whatsoever. I feel like this about several actors . . . truly despise them despite the fact that I can't point to anything that would make them any worse than some other normal, working actor.

Example: Channing Tatum . . . can't stand the guy, and even I have to admit he's not the worst actor ever and seems to be a decent sort of fellow in real life.

Example 2: Eric Roberts. The Pope of Greenwich Village? Was it The Specialist that did me in? Or several music videos? Have no idea, but I will automatically change the channel if I see the guy.

Example 3: Marcia Gay Harden. Excellent actress. Been in some good flicks. Makes me want to puke. Ruined even the very fine (and in which she gave a fine performance) Mystic River for me.
 
The lady from sex in the city. Can't stand her. Find her to be extremely unattractive and irritating. Looks like a transgender to me.

Sarah Jessica Parker...took me a minute

The OPs original question specified irrational and unreasonable. The first two on the list (never seen the kid in anything) have more than a few pretty damned good reasons to hate, despise and loathe them. I'd say that's just good common sense. And yeah, screw 'em.
 
And on my own list,

Will Farrell, Eric Bana and yeah, I'll add Sarah Jessica Parker to my list as well.
 
One of mine used to be Matt Damon lol i couldn't figure it out. I think it was because he was such a good actor that i felt like he was a douche bag. Started with The Departed he was so good in that i couldn't stand him after i watched that movie.

My best guess as to why I can't stand watching him is that he reminds me of that dude in church when I was a kid, always saying "come here little boy and sit on my lap".
 
Probably doesn't count as an actor but I have a hard time holding in my distaste for Ryan Seacrest. He just seems like an arrogant little shit that needs a beating.

I think a lot of people are missing that point. For me, it's Maggie Gyllenfuckinghall. She's a good actress, she sometimes plays interesting characters, but as soon as she shows her face in a movie, I immediately start to fucking hate it...in a very irrational, unreasonable and pointless way. I've got no reason to feel that way about her, but...I...just...fucking...do.
 
All of them. Show people can not be trusted... (but especially Julia Roberts)
 
I don't know, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jaden Smith were good ones for good reasons.

But I also think we should add Phoebe Cates. WAY too hot in the 80's to wear those damn flower dresses to the floor and four pairs of socks and Keds. WTF?
 
After sixty-some years, the list exceeds my shrinking available memory data storage pool. But the sensation you describe is antipathy, not hatred; and besides all my reasons are rational, reasonable, and well to the point...

Looking through this thread clearly explains the problem; almost ALL of them have given us very sound reasons to hate, despise and loathe them. From being airheaded leftists, to outright communists, to being anti-American, anti-gun, anti-military sanctimonious enemies of all that most of us hold dear, they give us damned good reasons. Nothing irrational about that at all.

How about Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon? Named their kid after a convicted murder to HONOR HIM! The guy was a sadistic prick who turned out to be a fairly talented writer, and naturally the leftists all got together and petitioned for his parole. The gov caved, and he was released. Promptly killed a guy within just a few weeks of his release. And that's who they want to name their kid after??? WTF??

Well said Kevin... I've pretty much given up TV and movies in general due to %90 of Hollywood being complete retards with absolutely no common sense.
 
Mark Ruffalo. I think it's his voice and face put together. I might could stand one at a time but seeing his face and hearing him talk at the same time makes me wanna throw something at the tv?

Impossible to like him after that role. Which he honestly played perfectly.

Paul Walker. Because he is an absolute shit actor.

Gene Hackman. I cannot stand watching him in any movie.

The kid that plays Joffrey in Game of Thrones (Jack Gleeson... just looked it up). I'll never be able to think of him in any other role.

I've heard the opposite, it seems a lot of fans act like he's an ass. But i've seen write ups saying he's actually a very cool guy.

Good word . . . precise. However, I'm not as reasonable as you are; I think my antipathy has evolved into hatred for these folks. I spend time and energy on it.

Yeah it seems some have missed the point...but...in my defense, I have hated Sarah Jessica Parker and Leotardo Decapitato since the very minute I saw them on a screen.

Noah Wyle!!!!!!...........Couldn't they have chosen someone less douchey for "Falling Skies". Loved it at the start.....then he just killed it for me. FAK!!!!
