Range Report Actual B.C. of the following 6.5mm bullets

What B.C. are the following 6.5mm bullets really calculating out at:

Berger 140 Match Hybrid Target (advertised B.C. .618 G1, .317 G7)

JLK 140 (advertised B.C. .630)

I am trying to decide if the 140 JLK really has any advantage over the Berger 140 Match Hybrid Target at all distances. Anyone with experience shooting both of these bullets would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, you are seeing an >8% increase in BC from pointing!?! Impressive. How did you verify that new number?

To the OP - Litz has got the 140gr JLK in his book at 0.63-ish G1 and 0.32-ish G7 (going from memory). I don't have any experience with the 140gr JLK but the 130gr shot great for me for a long time. Problem is getting them... very tough to get from Swampworks.

Yes 8% is correct. I verified it by shooting both sets of bullets at 1k and measuring the drop difference in group on target. Then adj bc until it matches what I see on target. Whidden states where it will be close to anyhow

What bc have y'all been using for pointed 130 and 140 JLK's? Just had copper creek load some for me in the 6.5 saum 4s, very accurate at 100 yards, now ready to stretch it out some and trying to decide what bc would be best.

130 JLK standard I was right at .603 BC
140 JLK standard I was right at .634 BC

130 JLK pointed I was at .650 BC
140 JLK pointed I was at .675 BC

JLK bullets are really slick, but as mentioned hard to get ahold.

If you can get the 130 JLK and point them, you will have the best bullet on the market IMHO
