This 2 day class will help the shooter develop skill and confidence with tactical rifles and carbines. This class is tailored specifically for AR-15 style rifles and carbines, but other center-fire arms may be used, such as AK’s, FAL’s, M1A’s, etc…


Topics covered include:

Rifle setup, configuration and accessories
Battlesight zero with iron sights and optics
Trigger and recoil management
Maximizing cover and concealment with shooting positions
Shooting on the move
Weapon transitions, manipulations and malfunctions
Engaging targets at CQB and intermediate ranges (3' to 300 yards)
Correct application of tactical priority on multiple targets
Team tactics fundamentals

Students will need a functional rifle or carbine equipped with iron sights and a sling. Students may use red-dots or low-magnification optics if they wish. You will need at least 5 magazines and approximately 800 rounds of practice ammunition. (This class will involve shooting at steel targets, please do not bring tracers, steel core, armor piercing, incendiary or other exotic ammunition types.) Students will also need a handgun and strong-side holster with 100 rounds of ammo and at least 2 magazines.

Class will be held June 21 & 22, 2014 at Sandusky County Sportsman’s Club in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
