Anyone ever used one of the add on rails to add a rail to your handgun that didn't come with a rail? I am thinking of doing this to a 1911 but didnt' know how "rigid" it would be.

I added the Caspian one to my Para 1911. It works fine. I keep a light/laser combo on it all the time and have no issues. I mounted it myself with my drill press and countersinks.
