I'm in the process of getting the supplies for my 650 together in order to load .223 (all I've done so far has been .40S&W). I got the dies, quick change tool head, powder drop, and plate for the case feeder a week or so ago.

After today all I'm missing is projectiles and brass. I picked up a bunch of small rifle primers today from a buddy of mine for $18/1000. I hadn't priced them but know how he prices stuff he wants to move so I figured it was a fair deal.

That's a steal in today's market....

Steal at $18. That is old school prices before the rush.

Not sure what 223 you are loading for but I recently got my 550 dillon up and running.

Check out Patsreloading.com\\
good deal on hornady and sierra match bullets.

Also http://www.scharch.com/

They have a good deal and run free shipping specials on full processed and primed 223 and 308 brass.

hope this helps

Don't forget the 223 caliber conversion (shell holder, plastic brass feeders, etc). It's a fairly easy conversion once you do it once or twice.

Re: Adding a caliber to my 650

I recently did the same on mine (converted from .45ACP to .223).

Maybe the conversion will go faster the second time, but it took me almost 3 hours to get it all dialed in and running properly. Now that it is dialed in, it's amazingly fast to load .223 now compared to how I used to do it on a single stage press! You're going to like it.

ChadTRG42,
My bad, I left that out of the original post. I've got everything I need but would still like the stand for the set I'm not using.

dquilli,
Thanks for the link. I'm going to be loading for my 3Gun rifle. I had the upper built with a 1in9 since I was buying ammo and it normally ended up being 55 or 62gr. This isn't what I'd call a 'precision' stick but the rifle has no problems holding 1MOA. I was going to ask around and get a good starter load and go from there. As long as I come up with one that will hold 1 minute and go 'bang' every time I'll be happy

.

Tim,
I know what you mean. When I got the machine I had a buddy (same guy I bought the primers from) help me set it up. The initial setup only took him an hour or so from box to completely ready to go. He said to call him and he'd help again.
