I have a Manners T2 that has been bedded for a Stiller Tac action. I want to go to AI detachable bottom metal and was wondering what the process will entail as far as the bedding goes. Will I just need to get a smith to drill out or mill out the bedding and pillars and have the stock inletted?

Second question: I shoot a .172 wildcat that is based on a .223 parent case. My loaded rounds are running 2.260 and feed fine from from the Rem BDL bottom metal. Would there be any reason to expect feeding issues with the .223 AI mags?

Re: Adding Detachable Bottom Metal

1. Most bottom metal can be installed after getting milled out properly but some smiths like to bed them.
2. I don't see any reason they wouldn't work in a .223 AICS mag.
