Does anybody here have any experience with Advantage Arms 22lr kits for Glocks? I have been thinking about getting one for my older Gen 3 Glock 17. I also have a Gen 4 Glock 21 but the only ones in stock that I have found are for the Gen 3s , and I was figuring to give some new life to my old 9mm. Any thoughts on this?

I am also thinking on selling my 10/22 and getting a dedicated 22lr DPMS upper to throw on my AR lowers. Then I would have the perfect tactical practice set up for 22lr. I just have not been happy with my 10/22. Always jams with the 25rnd mags (butler creek metal feed).

I have 1 for a 17 and 1 for a 27. They are kind of picky with ammo but not horrible. They run with CCI mini mags, Remington golden bullets and Federal Auto Match. I love them.

Never tried the Glock conversions yet. Use Ruger brand mags only on your 10/22 for best results. Never had a jam in my life from a 10/22 that wasn't the fault of the ammo. Look around if you want a .22 upper for the AR before you decide on the mfr

After the first 500 rounds, it runs like a sewing machine. Doing a little polishing on the feed ramp with a dremel, and keeping it well lubed, seemed to help during the initial break-in period. I'd recommend oiling the inside of the slide and cleaning the feed ramp every 50-100 rounds or so for the first 500-1000 down the pipe.

Break-in was with CCI 40gr Mini-Mags and Rem Golden Bullets (eats the GBs like candy). I primarily shoot CCI SV in mine now; initially they would only work with the can on but after 1500 rounds or so it works just fine without it. CCI AR Tactical is also very good. My kit won't function with Federal Automatch, Fed Bulk, or Win Dynapoints worth a damn.

Kinda blows they only have 10rd magazines, but I can live with it. Mags are plentiful and affordable on Gunbroker.

The kit is LOTS of fun, and kids LOVE shooting it with the can on.

My buddy has all Ruger mags for several 10/22s he has and has thrown several away due to the non feeding issue. He tracked it down to be the Ruger mags causing it. I have tried Ruger mags the only ones that work with no issues are the 10 rnd ers. I prefer the way ARs feel, although my dad really likes it so I will prob just keep it for him to use (10/22), I just don't like the only mags that work well with mine are the basic 10 Round Ruger mags.
