So I want to build an AR PDW in .300BLK using a PRI Delta Carbine length FF tube (once I register my lowers of course, so my buddy is holding my upper until then). It's triangular in design, with approximately a 30-45deg. angle at the top, thus forming two angles at the bottom, 70-67.5deg. (sorry, couldn't find a protractor, didn't wanna do it the old way) with a top rail and a bottom rail mounted only. The side rails were removed for comfort and size, which would accommodate a light but eliminate the possibility of using the handguard without a vertical grip. The bottom rail was filed on both ends to accept a KAC rail cover for additional comfort if no front grip is to be used, and the tube was re-drilled to position the bottom rail as close to the barrel nut as possible (thus moving it back 1-1.5 inches). The top rail is the identical position as it came from the factory. I plan on mounting a proprietary 1.2" flip up sight on the front end, and I'd like mount an adj. flashlight mount somewhere off the top mount as well. There is a Meprolight MOR 33mm reflex sight with dual red and IR laser outputs just below the sight, and one concern is that the flashlight/mount cannot occlude or interfere with one of these laser ports.

So that's a synopsis of the handguard I'm using, I mention all of this in order to put it into perspective Sorry if it's long winded, I just wanted to be concise. Here's an image of one on PRI's site so you get the idea of what one looks like if that helps: Precision Reflex - Product Detail - GenIII Delta Carbon Fiber Forearm Carbine Length Black - $320.00. This is the exact one I'm using, but without the side rails and with the bottom rail repositioned more to the rear. But the top rail is in the exact same place, and that's where I'm interested in mounting a light.

Does anyone make a quality adjustable flashlight mount that will mount to this top rail in a low profile fashion, and "swing down" and then lock in place, say with a screw that runs through the hinge? Such that it mounts to the top rail, but actually lays flat against the triangular handguard? I've run across a few looking around, but none that really floated my boat. So I'm looking for suggestions from you guys, reaching out.

I'm interested in flashlight mounts that'll hold a Surefire weapons light, or maybe even an adjustable section of rail that would accommodate a one piece Surefire light, like the Millennium or 7420v, etc. I'm open to suggestions as long as they fit. I'm trying to keep a low profile if possible, and I must clear the laser output ports on the Mepro MOR sight. Other than that, I'm open to looking at anything.

My other option is a Surefire grip light, of which I have, even including the IR upgrade, but I'd like avoid using a front grip at all with this handguard if possible, hence the inquiry as to whether an adj. flashlight mount as mentioned above is available, or if it even exists at all.

Thanks, I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Take a look at impactweaponscomponents.com they have several type of light mounts that may meet your requirements.
Also take a look at Haleystrategic.com and his thorntail light mounts and variations.
Viking tactics has a simple mount as well for a handheld Surefire light.
Search some of these mounts on you tube as well and you get a better picture of how they may work for you.

I have never seen a light mount that swivels.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I was hoping someone knows of one that swivels, one that can say, go from 0 to 90deg.? Or even a fixed one that has a low profile rail mount, then goes immediately down 45deg. or more so as to follow the angle of the handguard.

There's many that would normally fit, but with the lasers being where they are, it limits the options. Thanks again and keep the ideas coming.

The only "flip" mechanism that I can think of would be what is used for the 3x magnifier behind a red dot sight like the Aimpoint and the Eotech.
But this is not likely to be compatible with any flashlight mount.
Considering the cost, weight, strength and durability of the design, a fixed light mount may be your best option.

Thorntail MIL620 Offset Adaptive Light Mount

On Impactweaponscomponents.com, that might work. Looks like the only one that will, but the only way to find out will be to order it. It'll force me to use the Millenium light, but that's fine as long as it all lines up and works --I can get a dual IR/white LED head for it, and those lights can be had used around here for decent prices, so no problem. Thanks.
