I have a 90's import Romanian 5.45.
It came with a 5 or 10 rounder, thumb hole and welded on barrel nut.

I really just need a longer stock so that it is comfortable to shoot but understand that I'll have to replace a bunch of parts for it to be legal.

What is the best source for US made compliance parts?

Thanks.

So I got my parts count down got the Red Star trigger, K-VAR olive stock set and with the new Tapco 5.45 mags can use the correct AK 74 brake.
I had it and a new Romanian front sight base and piston installed by Jayson at IGF.
Nothing but praise for his communication and service.

I just shot a few rounds through it on the farm.
Dude, the sucker isn't easy on the ears of anyone laterally but the recoil is utterly negligible.
Way less of a torquey recoil than my 16" AR.
Granted it won't shoot like an AR but for torso's it'll be interesting to see which one I like more in the long run.
