Gents, with this new PT&G BDL inlet bottom metal on the market that accepts AE magazines, I was wondering if anyone has modified an AE .308 5 rd single stack magazine to feed a WSM or SAUM case? Thinking it'd just be a simple tweaking to open the feed lips a bit, and possibly mill the edges down?
I realize that capacity will be less, just wanting to know if this has been done before?
Thanks!

If you mean the standard .308 AICS mags then I've done it. I don't know about the SAUMs but the WSM you might have to mod/remove the bead that's rolled into the sides at the shoulder. It's not real convenient to do and you only end up with 3-rnd capacity (4 if you mod the follower and don't have the bolt closed).

Yeah based on this the AE's are different. So no, I haven't done it. It's prolly similar though. Bend feed lips, remove the bead at the shoulder, futz with the follower...
