Movie Theater After Hitler

I just watched part 1.

I am fully aware of the time after Hitler, from the Dutch perspective and the german, but I had tears in my eyes watching this documentary..
The documentary was done very good.

Btw, I grew up in the Netherlands, moved to Germany when I turned 15, and even then, 25 years ago, it was hell for me because I had a German mom, I was treated like I was somehow involved in world war 2.

My Dutch grandma was shocked when she found out that I joined the german military :)

Only mistake we made was not listening to Patton and going on into Russia

If Patton hadn't been batshit crazy maybe more people would've listened to him. Not sure that'd have been our best maneuver then, especially considering we had another front to deal with in Japan and America was sick of war already.

Russia also had better tanks and a lot of 'em and were much better prepared for a long drawn out fight in sub zero temperatures. Not to mention 12 time zones of land, all connected by rail, where resources and materiel plants can't be targeted.

Even if we could've rolled over Russia, it's not like we'd have been able to do anything with it. Talk about an insurgency...

Yeah, I don't see a russian incursion ending well for us.

I'm greatful my great grandparents chose to get out of Poland and Germany prior to the war to end all wars.

Stalin would have lost another 10-20 million. He just didn't care. Would have required a lot more material/logistics to secure that territory. The expensive cold war was probably the least costly approach.

Just 'cause Patton was crazy doesn't mean he was stupid, too.

That man Patton always had vision, and some 'crazy' is right on accurate; it's just existing in a moral vacuum.

Maybe more importantly; it's beginning to look like some of Hitler's most egregious dreams are coming true, thanks to EU, and especially That Merkel Monstrosity.

Why is it that it seems an inordinate number of countries with wackezoid policies are headed by women, and damned ugly ones at that?

The exception being those Muslim dominated countries where women can't even drive a car legally.

For instance...

This is not hatred being expressed, I really do like women a lot; it's just honest and genuine bafflement. Some social experiments just don't work, despite the snowflakes' unswerving insistence otherwise.

I think that pendulum is about reaching its extreme swing. But the extremes keep pushing it, and heaven help them when all it goes full way opposite.

The social pendulum always turns back; a simple and undeniable fact that the Libs, Socialists, and Communists just never can seem to understand.
