After Market Hunting Stocks

Looking for an after market synthetic stock for a Rem 700 for hunting purposes. I visited the HS Precision booth at the Shot Show last week and like their stocks. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I am happy with the McMillan GameScout, GameHunter stocks. Same hand position as a A5, which I'm very accustomed to, but lighter and more compact.

Look at the Manners Elite Hunter series. or the PROOF Research Light Weight Mountain Hunter.

If you are looking for a stock for a factory 700, Bell and Carlson stocks are a great value ($300 - $400 typically). Most of them have an aluminum mini-chassis so you don’t have to worry about pillar bedding etc. I have one on a 700 Mountain rifle and am very happy with it.

Honestly, for the money, either an HS Precision or a Magpul would be where I'd look. I have both and they both have nice features. I prefer my Magpuls to the HS stocks, but it's a personal preference.

McMillan Remington Hunter . Not much more than a HS if you catch one of the deals they run and alot sturdier stock Patterned after a Sako Hunter..

The hunter 700. I have them on my Ruger Predators too. I really like them.
