I've never had a bolt gun before, but now I'm piecing on together and unsure about triggers. I have a howa 1500 action so that takes away some manufactures. Everyone I know that is into guns have no info on bolt gun triggers so I figured I'd ask you all. I know my way around ar triggers, but what difference should I expect with an aftermarket boltgun trigger? What diffrences are noticable between brands? Those trigger tech's from just looking at seem like they would be a really nice trigger, but the don't make a howa trigger....

Probably a little slim pickings for aftermarket triggers for the Howa. Most guys are utilizing some clone/improvement on the Remington 700 and there are a lot of options there. I don't have any experience with the Howa trigger, but many aftermarket triggers can be polished and adjusted to a fairly workable pull weight and let off. Good luck with your search and let us know what you find. I'm sure there are others with the same question.

I'd look at the WTHBY-V model by rifle basix, the timney isn't bad but I've had problems in the last with durability and function that would make me choose the rifle basix over the timney. Also, for me the rifle basix is 12oz to 1.5lbs or if that is lighter than you like they have a 1.5lb to 4lb. Personally I like 12-16oz so and that would take the timney out of the running since it can only go down to 1.5lbs.
