Found a post and a page on an ai dealers site stating the mkll's could be orded with a buttspike now, is this true? I asked mile high and they said no, was wondering if it can be added somehow.

Re: Ai Ae adding a buttspike?

When I bought my AW, it used to be that the AI Butt Spike had to be added at the point of order and could not be retro-fitted.

Not sure what would have changed in the chassis to alter that.

Not sure if it was ever an AE option?

From the rifle builder option on the AI site, I'd say it can't be added to an AE at all now.

The AccuShot ASAI mono-pod is a great aftermarket alternative - I have one on my AW and really like it. Go with the BT08-QK

I have the accu-shot on my AE MKII,fits perfect and a 5 min. install. Milehigh carries the accu-shot.

Re: Ai Ae adding a buttspike?

In a theoretical sense one could potentially purchase an AI AW with 2.0 folding stock featuring a buttspike, and then swap the entire aft portion of the chassis with that of the AE to create a factory buttspike-equipped AI AE. On a practical level, it would be either extremely expensive ($6k for the "extra" AW) or extremely unlikely (finding someone who doesn't want the buttspike on their AW).
