AI AE MK1 modified to take AW mag?

Was wondering if the MK1 AE magwell can be opened up to accept the AW magazines?

Definitely a no. The AE action is not compatible with double feed magazines, hence why the mk2 uses an AICS double-stack single-feed mag. AI is not offering upgrades from mk1 to mk2 specs either.
