AI AX chassis fit

Came across a brand new .338 remington that I thought about dropping into a AX or AICS chassis.

It has the 40-x action.
Whats the difference between this and a normal 700 action?

Will this one fit in a AI chassis?

I was planning on shooting this one for a while and see if I want to upgrade to a real AX in the future.
I allready have a 700 in 308 in an AICS chassis that i love.

That looks like an XCR not the police model. Maybe I'm wrong but would hate to see you buy something that wasn't what you thought it was.

40X Action and 700 Action can easily see by their engrave on side of action.


Those one was not 40X. Just a 700 Action.

It seem like XCR. You may misunderstand those one use the same trigger as 40X not same action.

700 Action = Production Line from Factory

40X Action = Remington Custom Shop




Mine pic was Short Action but anyway the Long Action will be the same engraved

Will the normal 700 long action scope base fit even though it is a 40-x action?
