Question for anyone in the know....(sent AINA an email but thought I'd ask here as well...I can imagine they have more important issues at hand than to get back to me right away)
I really wanted a MAK XC chassis but NO ONE can get a hold of them to ask any questions. Please do not reply about the CSS tube gun chassis as his design does not allow the use of the Magpul PRS stock. SO....I believe I have decided to go with the AI AX chassis. However, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of information available. What I mean is this....
1. I was told that NO skins are available to purchase separately. I wanted the Dark Earth and Black skins. Is this true? Doesn't even make sense that they wouldn't sell separately.
2. In my search for this, there seems to be one set price. No real issue there other than that would apply only a basic chassis is available? When I go to AI's site and go thru the rifle configurator, there are options like quick adjust cheek piece and butt pad. There are different length fore ends (10", 13" and 16") and flat, 20moa or 30moa top rails available. I understand the 20moa and 30moa being available to the complete rifle but I'm also seeing there is a continuous rail along the top of the forend. Like I said in the beginning, one price implies only basic chassis is available However will any of this be available for the chassis in the future?
3. Everything detailed above seems to be very specific to the chassis. The Butt Spike is optional and am curious if this is available to purchase separately?
