I know this is an old thread, but there were no answers.
I have been looking at an AX, and and wondering how the monopod compares to the DTA monopod. If anybody can chime in with experience with either, it'd be appreciated.
It looks like they operate in a similar fashion, but it appears that the AI monopod must be turned using the foot for fine adjustment. The DTA's fine adjustment is turned using the upper piece so the foot does not have to rotate. Can anybody confirm this? I only have experience with the DTA monopod, and have only seen pictures of the AI butt spike.
Thanks.
