AI Buttstock Conversion Question

Has anyone done the AI AT thumbhole stock swap to the Accuracy International AT Rifle AX Buttstock Conversion? What do I need to know, and what tools are a must have prior to taking on this project? Or, would it be best to send it off to be done professionally.

Heat gun or torch to heat the screws in the hinge. Proper fitting hex bits and a decent vice or way to hold the rifle side secure...
