I was checking out AIAT’s the other day and noticing how much more expensive the AX308 models are. $3015 compared to the $423 difference between a AIAT and AIAX chassis system. Is there any other difference between the two rifles to justify the cost?

The AX doesn’t need tools to adjust comb and LOP. It also has a longer rail for NV or whatever you want to put there. Those are the two I can think of off hand. There might be more but I can’t remember.
It also has Bartlein barrel whereas the AT’s have a Lothar Walter unless you get a non 308 AT.

The AX's mag well is different as it has a cut-out on the right side. If you need the adjustable stock and for it to fold to the right and more rail space, get the AX. If you don't, get a folder AT. I have a folder AT and am very happy with it.
