Gunsmithing AIAX trigger job

I don't think you can get rid of the heavy first stage with "normal" adjustments, at least not according to the manual. ~3# is the lowest they say you can go, and the first stage will be 2# of that.

My AT trigger was great, while my AX trigger had a slightly mushy break. I called the service center at Mile High Shooting and they walked me through the sear adjustment to get rid of the creep. 1/4 or 1/2 turn later and it broke extremely cleanly.

My opinion (for the little that it's worth), is to find a way to make the trigger work as-is. Maybe it can be adjusted down to a 1# single stage trigger, but I value the safety of the stock trigger. A 1# trigger that isn't drop safe is not worth it to me, you just never know what may happen in a competition.

Great feedback all. I am a fan of 2 stage triggers anyways which is one of the reasons I like AI. I shoot primarily service rifle so if you know about that then you know a 2 stage geissele is my jam.

Feel free to share anything privately/ PM
sad that I would at this point I would rather be shooting an AR.

Btw,
Has as anyone had a barrel shoot better on one rifle vs another? My 308 shot m118 great when screwed into my old AE, but won't worth a shit in my AX... wtf?
