AICS 1.0 question

Re: AICS 1.0 question

Yep.

More than a few folks have been known to dremel the "Hump" cheek rest off and install the 1.5 rest. The holes for the rest are already in the chasis.

Remove your skins and verify. Should be two on top of the chasis where the rest posts go and two threaded holes drilled side to side where the adjusting screws go.

Thank you sir for the quick reply. I assume then that I can replace the 1.0 skins with the 1.5 skins? not just the cheek rest.

As stated, all you really need is the cheekpiece itself, and (strongly preferred) a set of AI cheekpiece thumbscrews:

And if you'd prefer not to cut-up your no-longer-produced 1.0 skins, you can always just order a set of 1.5 skins and drop them on.
