Insert a tool (screwdriver, punch, etc) into the rear of the magazine floorplate, and push the floorplate forward - the dimple at the front of the floorplate keeps it from sliding off by accident. Slide floorplate off and let the spring and follower drop out the bottom. Clean, re-insert spring and follower, and then slide the floorplate back on. Give it a sharp rap to seat it fully, reload with ammo, insert magazine into rifle, work the bolt, engage the target.
