Hi Everyone,
I was going to be re barreling my savage to a 6.5 caliber. I have decided on either 260 rem, because of cheap brass and more of it, or 6.5 creed, because of good quality brass and it is supposedly able to be loaded longer in the same length magazines.
However, my question is that does the creed actually posses this advantage or can the 260 be loaded to the correct length and fit in an aics mag?
If not wouldn't it be possible just to use alpha type 2 mags and allow for the long loading of the 260?
Also, it seems that people notch out the feed ramp on 700's to allow for longer loads but would this need to be done on savages too? I would assume it would?
Sorry if this has been gone over before but just wanted to see if the creed had an actual advantage over the 260 in magazines or if it is just theoretical..
Thanks.
