Gunsmithing AICS/AW Universal Mag Catch?

Just an idea of something that might be useful... Not sure if the basis for the idea is correct or not though.

Most DBM systems can use either or when it comes to AW/AICS mags due to what I now know to be a requirement for two different lengths in a magazine latch or release lever... Correct?

Why not produce a lever cut for AICS magazines, with a notch to accommodate AW magazines?

Users would just have to make sure their magazine was fully seated into the top notch of the catch if using AICS...

I didn't need 2 different length levers to run AW and AICS mags in my savage after setting it up to run from AW mags. Either worked just dandy. Do the different mags generally require different lever lengths to feed properly?

Me either Luvman, but per some MFG's there is a difference between the two...
