    Hi fellas,
    I need your guidance please.

I'm looking for a one piece 20 MOA throw lever, return to zero mount for my AICS AX with US Optics ST10 scope.

The ST10 has a 44mm objective lens with the ergo adjustment.

Currently it's sitting in Leupold MK4 high (from memory) rings with about 1mm clearance and buttler creek flip caps which is fine.

I'm looking at switching my ST10 out for an Eotech for night shooting then throwing the day optics back on for LR work.

Larue Tactical make a suitable mount?

this is 30mm, 20MOA, one piece picatinny with throw levers, just wondering if any of you blokes have had any experience with them?

    Thanks
    Jim

    Jim,

If you can hold off for a week or two, I am about to do a RTZ test on a LaRue LT-111, this is the 0 MOA version, but is otherwise exactly the same as the 20 MOA version.

I also have an SWFA/Bobro mount here and a GDI on the way.

Any of them should work for a ST-10 on your AXCS.

I can tell you that from mounting the LT-111 on my AR10, that if you just want to mount the scope and shoot, it will be fine. If you need to be able to keep the scope off the rifle, mount it up and get a cold bore hit.....well, that is the part I am testing.

    Ok excellent, thanks mate.
That's what I'm looking for on-off return to zero for cold bore. I'll probably be 70% ST10 and 30% Eotech.

Being a fixed 10x, in alot of areas we're shooting it makes things interesting...

Keep me posted brother, appreciate the help.

The return to zero would be about the same, perhaps less with the Larue mount. We used to change out between daylight optic, thermals and NVG. Had no problems removing the daylight optic with the leupold mark 4 rings. Not as quick release as the larue but it also wont damage your rail either. Just make sure when tightening the Mark 4 rings that you either push the optic forward or backward to get the slack out. Make sure that you utilize the same method and torque and you should be pretty close to zero. I also put paint marker on my rail to make sure I place the rings in the same place. I also used different colors for different optics, and would place a dot of paint on the base of each one to correspond to the spot on the rail.

This is an option but the Eot gets in the way and the windage knob obscures the sight picture which is not ideal.

Have considered rings like yours above with a docter type dot sight but figured it'd be best to just totally switch them out instead of taking on such a high profile and buying yet another sighting system.

Will wait out for LoneWolf's return to zero review and damage report on the rail then go from there.

I'll definitely have a serious look at the American Defense AD-Recon-S/SW mount now too thanks Tiger!

Here is the RTZ and review on the ADM mount I did awhile back:

    <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iYN3NT3UGBo&hd=1"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iYN3NT3UGBo&hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"> </embed></object>

It holds great, it just seems to take a shot or two to seat after you pull it off.

I have the 1.8-10 SN3 on my AR10 with the Docter where your EoTech is. It's a little more compact that way than using that big ole EoTech up there...

The reason why I like to have the secondary sight on to the gun all the time is two.
    1. if you are dialed in to shoot a target at 950 yards, and you suddenly have a new target at 150 yards, then the secondary is of great use.
    2. When you scope is set at high magnification and you just have fired at a450 yard target and gets a new target at 300 meters but in another direction, then is the secondary great to find the new target before starting to look in the scope.

That also gives the clear advantage of never removing the day optics. If you aint remove it, you is never going to be worried if the miss was due to the mount or not.

    Here is a few suggestions.

Hakan, on the first pic the elevation knob has a low profile. If you have one that is longer and perhaps dialled in for say a 800-yrd shot, do you then have to dial it down to get a clear visual through the red dot for a short distance shot. Alternatively, does it come with risers to lift it clear of most turrets ?
