I know there are alot of posts discussing the magazines however can anyone that has the 338LM magazine measure the Max COAL and if anyone has the 338 CIP magazine measure the Max COAL and post them both? Also other than the COAL for the CIP being longer are there any other dimensional differences such as the width or location of the magazine catch tab.

3.760 for the CIP with a dial caliber for the measurement, I believe the magazine port is longer in the aluminum chasis and the magazines are not interchangable with the standard long action. Give Mile High Shooting Accessories a call and they will let you know.

Thanks everyone. In process of modifying a LA AICS chassis to take CIP mags that are on order and making an insert to go back to regular mags. Just bored I guess but don't want to shell out the money on a new stock. I more enjoy fabricating different things. Probably crazy but it works.
