so i have been a member on this site for awhile. i do more reading than posting, this site is great. most or the time i have a question. i do a search and most of the time answer my own question.

i cant make my mind up. for some time i have been set in getting an aics 2.0 for my 308 rem. i do want a folder. so i just sold my hs stock on ebay and was geting ready to buy an aics. then i see a xlr with a magpul prs in a posting. shit what do i do now i think i like the xlr a little better but i have never handled a xlr so i dont know what to think. i have a prs on my ar and like it alot so it would be cool to have one with my bolt gun.

on the up side the xlr is lighter
on the down side i will need to get taller rings for the xlr

so i was hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.
what are your pros and cons? what do you like better and why?

this is my all around rifle it goes plinking, to the range and hunting

Re: aics or xlr

Go XLR they are awsome. It will be just as comfortable if not more comfortable and it gets the job done with less weight. Pretty much a no brainer.

Good luck,
Merritt

Re: aics or xlr

Im a big AICS fan, and yes they are heavy and require a good form to shoot when not prone.

But at the same time I share similar feelings about the XLR... looks nice a very nice stock, and looks like it would weigh bugger all.

Re: aics or xlr

I have shot and like both, but for my fat hands the ai is a little to small .the xlr fits me better . if possible handle and shoot both before making your choice.

Re: aics or xlr

i think both stocks are good and it is hard to pick. i might have to do a coin toss for this one.
does anyone own a xlr and live close to bozeman mt?
