AICS / Rem 700

Installed my 700 SA in an AICS 1.5 today. I followed the instructions but my barrel is of center in the stock. Any ideas?

Pull the skins off and take a look at the skeleton. I have seen a few that the front section that is pinned to the center receiver section was not attached correctly and was off, leaning to one side.

You could also have a crooked factory barrel, if you have a factory barrel.

Some aftermarket triggers, like the Jewell, will hit the stock and cause the barreled action not to sit correctly.

More info on your set-up would help.

Old Rem trigger, Shilen barrel. I'm gonna take the skins off this morning and take a look.

Got it figured. My recoil lug isn't perfectly centered. Going to have that fixed.

You must have one of those 20moa 'windage offset lugs'.
