aimpoint ard your opinions

i had one but it was years ago like 3 or so, i cannot remember if it made things darker or not when i put it in.

is the aimpoint ard worth it, is their any real advantage to having it i guess is what i mean.

does any one actually use these in cqb situations or if you where out doing patrols in the "sand box"

Location, location, location, Where you wanting to use it? Handy on a two way range just to help eliminate another target indicator. Do not use mine here for chasing bad guys yes it does make things darker (and I work nights). I use it on an old spare Aimpoint that the dot is not very bright in full sunlight so it helps pick the dot up better but other than that don't use it. Works like about a 2" sunshade if that is what you are looking for.

Unless you are issued one, I doubt you'll have a need for it and it does darken your FOV.
