Rifle Scopes Aimpoint dot wont light up

Hey guys, So I got an aimpoint comp ML2 I think (not exactly sure Im not by it right now) and the dot wont show up. I got it from a guy at work for $100 mainly for the mount and the kill flash on it.

Well I sent it in to Aimpoint to see if it could be fixed and it was sent back with an E-Mail following up telling me it was a Military unit and they wont service/repair it unless it comes from a military source. I completely respect that but what I am curious about is, is there anyone else out there that can repair these or is it strictly Aimpoint only?

Stolen military property.

I hate when that happens.

I've never heard of anyone other than Aimpoint repairing Aimpoint products.

I'd get your money back from the seller. You can thank Aimpoint for letting you know, rather than letting the authorities know and having it confiscated without compensation. Thats what happens with stolen Govt property.

That is not 100% correct. There have been military aimpoints sold to general public legitimately. Also, military sale does not mean US military. An example of both was Botach tactical selling an overrun of an African (can't remember which country) military aimpoints. There have been other examples.

From what I was told they were from his unit and were being pitched They had apparently gotten new optics and the guys were asked if they wanted em. True or Not I really dont know but I mainly bought it for the mount and killflash. Was mostly curious if anyone other than Aimpoint could fix em. If not ohwell.

Besides, I have purchased AR Mags from a police department that were stamped restricted...they were in need of a rebuild and the Dept got New...so did the cops steal those too?
